Life is joy; life is fun

It is a race we all run

Life is tough; no respite

Yet we cherish it despite

Life is dull; life is sad

But still not all that bad

Life is cruel; life is hard

If with hatred it is marred

Life is service; life is care

God’s gifts we must share

Life is sacrifice; life is love

From envy let us rise above

Life is living to the core
