91. Patience and Gratitude

عن صُهَيْبٍ قال قال رسول اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَجَبًا لِأَمْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِ إِنَّ أَمْرَهُ كُلَّهُ خَيْرٌ وَلَيْسَ ذَاكَ لِأَحَدٍ إلا لِلْمُؤْمِنِ إن أَصَابَتْهُ سَرَّاءُ شَكَرَ فَكَانَ خَيْرًا له وَإِنْ أَصَابَتْهُ ضَرَّاءُ صَبَرَ فَكَانَ خَيْرًا له

Suhayb (rta) stated that God’s Messenger (sws) said: “Amazing is the matter of a believer. All his affairs are well and this [feature] is for none but a believer: if good circumstances befall him, he is grateful and this is well for him and if hardships befall him, he is patient; so, this [also] is well for him.”[1]
