85. Gracious Accommodation of Human Error

‘Amr ibn al-‘As (rta) reports that he heard God’s Messenger (sws) say: “If a ruler passes a judgement and tries his best to arrive at the truth and then succeeds, he will be entitled to two units of reward, and if a ruler passes a judgement and tries his best to arrive at the truth but does not succeed, he will still be given a unit of reward.”[1]
