17. Showing Affection

Abu Hurayrah (rta) reports that al-Aqra‘ ibn Habis saw the Prophet (sws) kissing [his grandson] al-Hasan whereupon al-Aqra‘ said: “I have ten children and I have never kissed anyone of them.” At this, God’s Messenger (sws) said: “He who is not affectionate to others will not be shown affection [from God].”[1]
