113. Responsibility of the Rulers

عن مَعْقِلٌ سمعت رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول ما من أَمِيرٍ يَلِي أَمْرَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ ثُمَّ لَا يَجْهَدُ لهم وَيَنْصَحُ إلا لم يَدْخُلْ مَعَهُمْ الْجَنَّةَ

Ma‘qil (rta) reports: “I heard God’s Messenger (sws) say: ‘A person who is made the ruler of the Muslims neither strives [for their welfare] nor wishes well for them will never enter Paradise with them.”[1]
