104. Taking Back Gifts is Detestable

عن بن عَبَّاسٍ رضي الله عنهما قال قال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم الْعَائِدُ في هِبَتِهِ كَالْكَلْبِ يَقِيءُ ثُمَّ يَعُودُ في قَيْئِهِ

‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abbas (rta) stated that the Prophet (sws) said: “A person who takes back his gift is like a dog who throws up and then licks what he has thrown up.”[1]
