Selflessness

وَالَّذِينَ تَبَوَّؤُوا الدَّارَ وَالْإِيمَانَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ يُحِبُّونَ مَنْ هَاجَرَ إِلَيْهِمْ وَلَا يَجِدُونَ فِي صُدُورِهِمْ حَاجَةً مِّمَّا أُوتُوا وَيُؤْثِرُونَ عَلَى أَنفُسِهِمْ وَلَوْ كَانَ بِهِمْ خَصَاصَةٌ وَمَن يُوقَ شُحَّ نَفْسِهِ فَأُوْلَئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ (59: 9)

And those who already have a place of residence and have deep faith love those who migrate to themand do not find any ill-will in their hearts on what is being given to them[–the migrants –] and give them preference over themselves even though they are in need. And those who have been protected from their own selfishness, it is they who will prosper. (59:9)
