یٰۤاَیُّہَا الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللّٰہَ وَ قُوۡلُوۡا قَوۡلًا سَدِیۡدًا یُّصۡلِحۡ لَکُمۡ اَعۡمَالَکُمۡ وَ یَغۡفِرۡ لَکُمۡ ذُنُوۡبَکُمۡ وَ مَنۡ یُّطِعِ اللّٰہَ وَ رَسُوۡلَہٗ فَقَدۡ فَازَ فَوۡزًا عَظِیۡمًا.(33: 70-71)
Step 1: Fill out the first lines of the following tables by placing the translation of the Arabic word below it and then make the scrambled sentence into a meaningful one in the last lines of each of the tables.

How Truthful are you?
1. If you have to give witness in a court against your father in a case in which your father is at fault:
i. you will give true evidence even if this means punishment for your father.
ii. you will try to hide the evidence.
iii. you will give false evidence.
2. A friend of yours is wrongly blaming an enemy of yours in front of others for a fault you are sure your enemy never had.
i. You will stop your friend and try to correct him.
ii. You will let him go on and enjoy the humiliation of your enemy.
iii. You will stay quiet but you will regard this to be a wrong act in your heart.
3. You want to admit your child into class 1. The school rules say that the child must not be more than 6 years. Your child is 6 years and 5 days old.
i. You make a false birth certificate of your child.
ii. You go and request that your child be accommodated but if they refuse you go to a different school.
iii. You go to the principal and create a fuss to accommodate your child.
4. You are selling a car which has a defect that only you know.
i. You clearly tell each buyer of this defect.
ii. You hide this defect as much as you are able to.
iii. You reveal this defect only if the customer asks about it.
5. You did not go to office because you wanted to go to for a wedding:
i. to escape accountability, you produce a false health certificate.
ii. you go to the boss and state the real reason of absence.
iii. you say that you met with a small accident.
6. You accidentally broke your mother’s very expensive vase.
i. You go to your mother and admit your mistake.
ii. You hide the pieces and act as if nothing happened.
iii. If your mother asks, you lie that you did not do it.
iv. If your mother asks, you wrongly blame your servant.
7. You have been convicted by a court for an offence; you are filling your visa forms to study abroad. The form asks if you have even been convicted by a court.
i. You write that you have never been convicted.
ii. You write the truth.
iii. You conceal the truth and get caught and then you tell the truth and admit your fault.
8. Your mother calls you to ask you when you will return home. You are sitting at your friend’s house and know that you will not be able to come before one hour. But your reply is:
i. I will return in 10 minutes.
ii. Inshallah (God willing) I will return in 10 minutes.
iii. I am on my way
iv. I will return in one hour.
9. Your friend wants you to write a leave application on his behalf and sign it your self with his name because he is out of city and if he writes it, it will not reach the office in time.
i. You politely refuse but when your friend insists you write the application.
ii. You do what your friend says.
iii. You refuse to do so.
10. You have misplaced your ID card. You want a new one. If you say that you have lost it, the procedure to make a new one will take 3 months, and if you say that someone has stolen it, the procedure shall take 3 days.
i. You choose the second option.
ii. You use your contacts to make it in one day by bypassing many people who had applied first.
iii. You choose the first option.

III. Improve yourself through Self-Evaluation
Write a “Lying” diary for two weeks. Each day write down any lies you uttered. At the end of two weeks, share this with your closest friend or with your instructor or just destroy it.
Make a commitment to yourself that in future you will refrain from lying as much as possible.
IV Reconsider the Quiz
Go back and study the quiz you have attempted. In particular, study the answers in which you have scored less. Re-evaluate your choices and make a commitment to improve in this area.
V Become a Volunteer for the Truthfulness Awareness Campaign in the Following Ways
