Narratives on the Revelation of the Qur’an on Seven Ahruf - Episode 11

In this episode, Dr Shehzad Saleem critically evaluates the chains of the Seven Ahruf narrative ascribed in its mawquf form to Ubayy ibn Ka'b (rta), 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (rta), Mu'adh ibn Jabal (rta), 'Ali ibn Abi Talib (rta), 'Abdullah ibn 'Abbas (rta), Sulayman ibn Surad (rta) and Abu Bakrah (rta). He then goes on to critically evaluate the narratives from which certain meanings of the Seven Ahruf narrative are adduced. These narratives are ascribed to 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (rta), Zayd ibn Arqam (rta) and Abu Talhah (rta).
