It is indeed important to study the Battles fought by the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, as therein lies the knowledge of this world and the next/Hereafter. Infact, Mu’amar narrated that Az-Zuhari said, ‘‘After the migration of the Prophet, Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam, to Madinah, the first Qur’anic verse revealed regarding fighting in the way of Allah Most High was:—
‘‘To those against whom war is made, permission is given to fight,
because they are wronged, and verily Allah is Most Powerful for their aid’‘.
The first battle the Prophet, Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam, fought was Badr on Friday, 17th Ramadan 2 A.H. Then, other Battles followed:—-Banu An-Nadir, Uhud, (3 A.H) Khaibar, (6 A.H) the Conquest Of Makkah in 8 A.H, the Battle of Hunain. Of course there have been others; some he sent his Army Commanders, while others he set out with the Fighters, Sallallahu alaihi Wasallama.
