I Qur’anic Verse of the Day

Are the Finer Pleasures of Life Prohibited?

Ask them: “Who has forbidden the adornments of God that He has provided for His servants and the pure among edibles?” Tell them: “These are for the believers in the life of this world [and through their courtesy given to others]; but on the Day of Judgement shall belong to them alone.” Thus do We explain Our revelations to those who want to know. Say: “My Lord has forbidden all vulgar acts – whether hidden or open – and usurping rights, wrongful rebelliousness, that you worship what He did not sanction and ascribe to God what you know not.” (7:32-33)

II Hadith of the Day

Undue Elevation of the Prophet (sws)

‘Umar (rta) reports: “I heard the Prophet (sws) say: ‘Do not elevate me from my status the way the Christians elevated Jesus (sws) [far] above his status. I am only God’s servant. So, call me a servant of God and His Messenger.’”[1]

III Bible Verse of the Day

Jesus (sws) on Trust and Faithfulness

He who is true in a little, is true in much; he who is false in small things, is false in great. If, then, you have not been true in your use of the wealth of this life, who will give into your care the true wealth? And if you have not been true in your care of the property of other people, who will give you that which is yours? (Luke, 16:10-12)
