Abu Hurayrah (rta) reported that God’s Messenger (sws) [once] said: “Should I not guide you to that through which God erases sins and increases the status [of a person]?” The companions said: “Why not, O Messenger of God!” [At this,] he remarked: “Doing wuduin a thorough manner in difficult circumstances, abundant footsteps to the mosque and waiting [in the mosque] for the [next] prayer after [offering] the prayer; this [wait] is called ribat[1].”[2]
